Earth is so 2020. Doja Cat wasn’t just dropping an album for ‘Planet Her’, she was launching an entire world. In anticipation of the release, we built Visit Planet Her - a two-phase experience that took fans from booking their seat on InterstellHER Air to touching down on the album’s namesake planet, unlocking exclusive music along the way.
To get started, fans boarded InterstellHER Air where their Spotify listening habits determined their class - ranging from ‘So High’ first class to ‘Bottom Bitch’ cargo hold. After checking in their (emotional) baggage, they received a digital holographic boarding pass and curated playlist to build anticipation for takeoff.
As the album release approached, fans scanned their pass and launched through an interactive wormhole, arriving at the vibrant Planet Her. Suspended above its dreamlike terrain, inspired by Doja’s ‘Kiss Me More’ video, they explored the world while unlocking exclusive track snippets, making them some of the first to experience the album.
Highlights – With record-breaking fan engagement, Visit Planet Her became one of Sony Music’s most successful digital campaigns, sparking viral fan frenzy and earning an FWA Site of the Day award.
