I hail from the lesser known Latvia, which despite its small stature was filled with enough beauty and tradition to inspire me artistically.
Being a geek at heart with an artistic soul there was never any doubt that I would pursue both of my passions and become a digital designer. I love all new technology and how it plays into the user experience in modern design.
Looking back, what is the most obvious sign from your childhood that pointed to your future career?
Probably the day my mum came home found my walls covered in graffiti, or as she remembers it now, my earliest art. She enrolled me into art school the very next day, not that it stopped me using the wallpaper as a canvas.
This is your chance to name drop, who’s the most famous person you’ve met
I was sitting next to the best child actress of the year on the plane to Spain.. Millie Bobbi Brown aka Eleven from Stranger Things. She was even nice enough to share a selfie.
If you could create anything, what would it be?
A teleportation device. And not just an international teleportation device, a intergalactic one.
If I gave you £1 million what would you do with it?
Hm.. first I would open the biggest Zoo for animals who are injured or not fit to live in wild. Its been my dream since i was little to live amongst the animals, like Tarzan. When a Zoo in Wales went up on sale for the same price of one bedroom flat in London, I very seriously considered it.
What would you choose for your last meal on death row?
Latvian smoked cheese and my mums pickled gherkins! Yes, I am the weirdo who loves pickle juice and could eat a 3L jar of pickles in an hour.
