I grew up on the Hibiscus Coast in Whangaparaoa, New Zealand. It’s not as paradise-y as it sounds, but we have some beautiful beaches and unbelievable sunsets. My love for photography first grew here, surrounded by trees and sand. Although my work now incorporates more people and focuses on fashion/commercial, many of my images still frequently points to my naturistic background and influence.

Other than that I am a huge fan of Celine Dion--the OG Diva in my eyes--and loves a good controversial documentary or show. Also, I’m not sure how, but all of my money ends up going to food and brunch?! Like, how does this happen ALL. THE. TIME?

Your jam on karaoke night

Anything Celine Dion, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Adele or Ariana Grande; all the ballad, massive voice ladies please.

What would you choose for your last meal on death row?

A super traditional Japanese breakfast: miso soup, rice, some pickles, umeboshi, natto with bonito flakes, some nori with soy sauce, some kind of grilled fish and a mini salad on the side. After that, I would like some ramen as well, just a simple soy-based broth with katamen noodles. I think Tonkotsu is overrated (Ooooooooooohhh) with extra menma/bamboo shoots.

What changed at Phantom the day you walked in the door?

My perceptions of the traditional “office environment”. Before Phantom, I was working as a freelance photographer in NZ, which was a very ‘lone wolf’ process. Definitely has it’s perks but the lows are very low… Coming to Phantom and working in a team environment, where everyone is so talented and good at what they do, supporting one another, helping each other… It’s been a really nice change. I’ve already made some wonderful friends and colleagues and I’m truly grateful for that. Cannot feel more lucky to have landed here.

Phantom least likely to…

I’ll admit it: I’m the least likely to win a food eating competition against James-Cheeseburger-fluffy-clouds-Google-foodcourt-Walton. I hope he never reads this.

If you could create anything, what would it be?

A house. Lol. Nah jk if I could build ANYTHING I would build my own concert hall that, if I asked, an artist I picked would HAVE to perform there. Like for some reason it’s an obligation for them to do that if I nominate them. How incredible would that be? Also a private jet because who doesn’t want one of those. LOL. Oh, and lastly, an endless supply of creativity and ideas. Like every idea that comes out is genius and amazing. That would make my life a little easier hahahaha.
