‘A modern-day Ulysses, desperate to be tied to some digital mast, is probably getting his ropes at the App Store.’ - Evgeny Morozov
My interests began like so many people of my generation, during the myspace era, hooked on customising your own page, and the designing of emo/metal band’s myspace pages. I also enjoy stupid welsh idioms, long walks along the information highway, and listening to music on the uno’s and duo’s.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be so many things, a photographer, haven’t got the steadiest of hands, and a chef, don’t really enjoy standing for too long unless there’s some good music to dance to. The weirdest one was probably a CBBC tv presenter. I thought that job was the one.
When I dance, I look like…?
What changed at Phantom the day you walked in the door?
Favourite TV/Film character of all time and why?
1994 was probably the best year film has ever had. Forest Gump, Pulp Fiction and then there was Ace Ventura. It has literally everything a film could ever have whether it's chasing missing albino pigeons, rescuing a pampered shiatsu, or making high speed getaways. I won’t spoil it for you any further. Hell of a twist though. It had me but I was 9. “Take care, now. Bye bye, then”.
What was your first or worst ever job?
My first job was as a cleaner for my local recreation centre. I worked every Saturday & Sunday morning (7:15 - 11:15) cleaning toilets and showers for 4 years. It was good pay and short hours but man, the smells, and the habits other people have are disgusting. Definitely taught me cleanliness is next to godliness.
